Sofia’s love of art started at a young age. Her friends were constantly amazed by her skills, so she gave them her pieces for birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions.
After Botany school, where she enjoyed drawing flowers among her other classes, she attended art school for a year in her hometown, the capital of the state of Manipur, Imphal, India.
Her teachers adored her for her talent and keen interest in their shared passions. At the end of her time there, they awarded her the title of a best female artist, where she drew a charcoal piece, taking about 100 hours of her time in a realism style.
After this time, she gained popularity and became noticed by the tattoo art community. She was offered an apprenticeship at Athokpam Ink in Imphal, Manipur, where she first obtained her tattoo license in India. She loved this new medium of body art, where she could put her love of art into permanent wearable creations that her clients loved.
She had a long-term relationship with her now-husband, who shared her creative prowess but only in music. Their love for each other flourished through their mutual, complementary passions. This is how she came to live and tattoo in Vermont, United States. Soon after arriving stateside, she made it her priority to obtain a license in the USA as well. This dream very soon became a reality.
Sofia Laishram’s hometown is Manipur, India. She has 4 years of tattooing experience and currently tattoos in the Upper Valley. Her tattoo studio is located at 144 Palmer Court A3 in White River Junction, Vermont. She is a lifetime artist specializing in many forms.
She graduated with a BSC in Botany from Kohima Science College in Nagaland, India. Her favorite specialty in tattooing, which she learned in college, is floral design and realism.
